Retrato de los nietos del fundador de Grupo Cuevas en la calle Lepanto de Ourense

Ignacio de las Cuevas Moreno, grandson of the founder, accepted the presidency of the company in 1944 with a strong desire for innovation and growth. He was the architect of the new business project, Cuevas y Cía, S.A., based on the international export of fresh farm and wild produce.

Chestnuts, walnuts, cherries and blackberries from Galicia made up the bulk of the exports to Latin American markets where the Galician emigrants on the continent not only received the products of their homeland but also the memories and feelings they experienced when savouring them far from home.
